WHAT HAPPENS WHEN WILD IDEAS RUN FREE?
This isn’t a conference, retreat, festival, or even the dreaded “un-conference.” It’s a 1-of-a-kind experience built to help you drop out and tune in to what matters. Join incredible people who think differently than you to jam together on global issues, challenge outdated ideas (while you re-frame your own), and have a s#*t ton of fun.

WORK TOGETHER & INNOVATE MORE

Six innovative organizations need your help to overcome a challenge that stands in their way. Join a purpose-driven crew of adventurous minds from all fields to work directly with the founders on each challenge. Learn about the topics & yourself while you help put each organization in a better position to change the world.
Lab #1
Consumers demand sustainable alternatives. Why aren’t factories producing them?

Checkerspot is designing with biology to create bio-based performance materials and products (inc. some really kick-ass skis!). Trouble is, many factories are a black box and are resistant to adopting new materials. Can you help figure out the broken link?

Cause-based marketing — is there a better way?

Moonburger is imagining a plant-based burger stop that leads with taste (and NOT mission). But human consumption is a powerful and complicated machine. Is cause-based marketing really the best way toward changing hearts, minds, and behavior?

Prioritizing Provenance: How to build the first brand in lumber?

Why isn’t there a “local” or “organic” standard when it comes to sourcing wood? Lumber is a foundational scaffold for modern life, yet we rarely consider its provenance. Cambium Carbon is introducing hyper-local supply chains and a new class of high-impact Carbon Smart Wood. How can they scale B2B adoption to architects, designers, and furniture companies?

Change your bait. Engagement strategies to center lived experience, build trust, and reduce gun violence.

Taylor Paul and his RVA League for Safer Streets use basketball to build trust, unite communities and police, and reduce gun violence. He’s living proof that lived experience matters and we can create safer, stronger communities when those closest to the problems are the ones driving solutions. How else might centering lived experience in your community help break down walls and build bridges?

An undervalued community aids a shrinking workforce. How can we shift the zeitgeist around autism in employment?

T.A.C.T. (Teaching the Autism Community Trades) encourages and empowers the full spectrum of individuals with autism through education, and employment in the skilled trade industry. As the number of neurodistinct individuals continues to drastically rise and new challenges confront us, Americans have an opportunity to maintain the status quo or extend a new seat at the table to include these bright minds. Can you help shift the conversation to include these creative thinkers?

Is political affiliation the bane of progress? How uniting on some topics is better than none.

American Conservation Coalition mobilizes young people around the conservative environmental movement. Environmentalism is often considered a left-wing issue but ACC is proving it's more than one-sided. Work with them to break down prejudices and stereotypes across party lines to unite the environmental movement.

IMPORTANT WORK MEETS PRODUCTIVE PLAY

This is not a conference. It’s not a retreat, festival, summit, concert, or even the dreaded “un-conference.” It’s a unique experience that nestles gently in between all of these things, designed to marry work and play, and to help you drop out & tune in to what matters.

THE WORK/PLAY

We bring the companies. You bring the ideas. We’re gathering six leading organizations with innovative solutions for global communications, food systems, mental health, inequality, pollution, and new energy. Jam with the founders and an incredible crew of adventurous minds to find new solutions for the challenges they’re facing. In the process, learn about the topic, the world, and yourself.

THE PLAY/WORK

Share outdoor experiences, culture-melding conversations (and maybe a few arguments), locally-sourced community dinners, and more meaningful moments designed to break down walls and build connections. Go wild (or mild) with polar plunges → sauna → hot sake → yoga and more. Snowkiting anyone? Optionally, gear up for a backcountry adventure day in Bolton Valley’s 5,000 acres of pristine high forest.

Stay tuned for more announcements about 2023.
